Alegid bad ground being blamed for SRS light???
So if anyone has read my post about body shop professinalism then you know the status of my car.
Got word today they could not get the airbag light to turn off, so they take it to dealer.
Dealer says they have to do a "Ton" of diagnostic work because there is no communication with the AirBag Control modual.
They decide that it could only be caused from a bad ground somewhere in the system and that it is most likely not caused by the accident. Luckily USAA called BS and they are authorizing the work anyway.
Purpose of this post is to find out if there are not electrical errors anywhere else in the system would there be a lone isolated bad ground only effecting the Airbag system? Is this plausable or is it them just looking from some sort of payout from this as well?
It is just adding to the bad taste I have from anyone in this area when it comes to any type of vehicle repairs.
