Is there a trick for the LSJ Alternator pulley removal?

Removed the small plastic coverplate but I'm not sure if the 10mm hex piece is some kind of locking bolt/nut? Or is that to hold the shaft while the pulley is turned loose? (and what direction should it be turned loose?)

.... theres 3 bolts that hold the alternator in place. 2 on top, one on bottom.

And now how to remove the PULLEY from the shaft??

 

Have an impact gun? That will get the large center nut off of the shaft quickly and then the pulley will slide right off.

 

Really? I have the allen socket for it, but the impact didn't do anything but spin the pulley.

 

hold the pully while impacting.......

 

its difficult. a special tool is required. talk to hahn, he can tell u how to ghetto rig something to do it. why are u doing this?

 

Duh, but its a clutched pulley, it turns the inside part, even if I hold the belt side still.

The 2,2 or 2,4 indeed have a large center nut on the shaft and pulley removal is clear.
But the LSJ pulley is different as it is a clutch type and looks to have a different mounting on the shaft...
