Am I boost stacking?

Last night I did a WOT pull in 3rd and half of 4th. Temp outside was 55 degrees with little humidity if that matters. 3rd gear I seen 15lbs and in 4th i was seeing 16... is that possible with a 3.1 pulley? my tune is the zzp stage 2. air box mod, stock exhaust... zoomer or turbo tim feel free to chime in. I wasnt aware the M62 can boost stack. I know the M90's do and are more prone to it...

could be a clogged cat. not to sure what you mean by boost stack, if you mean air stacking then that's the principal that all roots blowers(not twin screws) work. higher than average boost often means a restricting somewhere.

sounds like he's got a very good point.

That seems like a hell of a lot of boost for a 3.1 inch pulley, granted he is on stock exhaust. I run a 2.8 pulley and see 15 to 16 lbs. I highly recommend you check your cat and upgrade your exhaust. Boost is just a restriction of air flow, it's not power. The less boost the less stress on your motor.

no hesitation when driving normally. maybe ONCE and i really mean this ONCE IN A BLUE MOON. maybe once in 2 months on a WOT. ill have a hesitation for a split second. thats so rare its not even funny. a clogged cat wouldn't that throw a code from an o2? but i guess that depends on which cat. i believe GM has a warranty on the exhaust system to 60k or 100k i forgot which one. either way if i bring it to the dealer. what should i say? i cant say hey im aftermarket stage 2. im running more boost than usual. can u check the exhaust system for a clogged cat? ya feel me? lol.

just tell them that the performance is lacking. and that the exhaust sounds clogged. maybe that will work.

Clogged cat.

No trolling, but air stacking on top of itself in the intake mani is how this supercharger works IIRC.
