another exhaust post

sorry for making yet another exhaust forum but this is my idea and wanted to know what you guys thought..........
leave the stock resonator and first 90* bend after that cut the rest off and get rid off the almost u turn bend over the axel and have my local muffler shop manderal bend me an axel back with smother flowing bends and then up and over the axle to a round magnaflow muffler about 20 inches long to a 4 inch tip...
will i see any hp gains and how raspy do you guys think this will be.... now the method to my madness.. the stock is 2.5 then down to 2.25 so cut it at the reduction point and make the rest 2.5.. the reason i say keep the stock resonator is because i dont want to take it out and the stock bends are already manderal bent... please no flamming... ok maybe a little lol

there is a company that already makes an exhaust that you just cut the section that is 2.25 and it replaces it with a 2.5inch section and a magnaflow muffler. I believe ottp sells it.

What the op wants to do is similar to what I'd like to do. Keep the factory 2.5 resonator and pipe, but replace the 2.25 piping. Talked with a local muffler shop about different ideas, was given a suggestion to run a 2.5 straight back w/o a muffler. Just reuse the factory tip. Is this a good idea? The gentleman I spoke with says it will help it sound a lot better.

Didn't want to start up another exhaust thread just to ask this. Would anyone let me know if it will make it excessively loud, or have a throaty tone. Thanks for any advice or suggestions.

the resinator is 2.25 so you need to change that. and thats the last piece of the stock cat back, so buy a cat back and be done try magnaflow i think its cheaper
