another Knock question

OK.. so I was driving down the highway the other day, when I figured I'd just punch it.

I was doing roughly 55mph when I started to accelerate. I put my foot right to the floor, and the car started speeding up. When I hit about 85mph, my knock light came on my Interceptor. I have the announciator set for 4* of knock. I didn't see exactly how many degrees of knock I was hitting, but the light would come on for maybe a second or two, then go out, then come back on again maybe 10mph later.

Basic mods, Stg2, CAI, Powell's mounts, blah blah blah..

Any thoughts...???

Thanks guys

Just straight out of 5th. My IATs were 18* separation at the start. Didn't climb anything significant.

theres your answer. you cant just put your foot in it in 5th gear. That causes alot of stress on the driveline and the high airload / low rpm will cause knock.

I used to only get that at real low rpms in 5th like in the sub 45 mph range. Then I ADDED timing and the ghost knock from the engine lugging and vibrating went away.
