Old but still good. Dark made 373? 364 corrected? Let's see if we can beat that, Trevor...

You will have us beat on torque for sure. I have about another 1000 miles before I'll even think about a dyno. I need to get back tuning again. It has been a while since I was well-versed in HPT.

It sure seems to. They are not much longer than stock LSJ but the motor is undoubtedly smooth. There is not as much vibration from the balance shaft delete kit as I thought there would be. In fact, if you didn't know they were deleted, you likely wouldn't be able to tell.

What is stock length C2C? If I remember correctly, the Eagle rods are 5.765" but in any sense, they were mated with custom Diamond pistons for the smaller wrist pin, the bigger bore, and the higher compression.

5.728 for the lsj. Dosnt sound like much but it is. Less rod angle.

What would you guys guess a ported head would do on a stock engine with stock cam, basic stage two or three mods and a header?

A ported head is always a plus but there r plenty of other ways to get more out of Ur car. On a relatively stock car its proly not worth the trouble to swap the head just for a ported one. Now if u were gona through a mild set of cams in with some springs that would make it more beneficial.

Thanks. Sounds like the factory did an OK job on the head. What about the $500 port job offered for the S/C? Same thing? Mines coming off in a few days for a dual pass and ZZP intake spacer so this would be a good time to ship it out. Improving WOT low end grunt when I'm bogging it down would help. The engine is wicket fast until I can't pull the revs any longer.

I hear you and the biggest variable for me is the odd application on the sand. Its hard 45 minute runs chasing the guys with V8's with twice the HP. It has just enough top end power because its lite but I question is if my setup with the 2.9 is conducive to beating it wide open like I have too on the hills or could I help it.

A lil 50shot would really wake that thing up.

Wat r u doing for a pcm and wiring. Im looking into building a ecotec powered jet boat. I thought about gettin a l61 out of a cavi then build it and SC it.

CBM or Custom Bult Motors know ecotec swaps and sell the PCM and harness. They have a good reputation with customer suport so you get what you pay for.
