I have this noise when i start my car and i was told it was valves ticking is that posible???
i dont think its good
ps. sounds like a loose belt coming from back of motor

 

okay... there are no belts on the back of the motor. FWD... it's all on the side.

The Ecotec is a noisy beast... it will tick and carry on at idle... pretty normal.

 

if you had the same noise i did try to replace your gaskets between your block and manifold and from your manifold to downpipe...I also took off my heat exchanger and one of those two things solved it..It doesnt tick no more when i start it up
