Well for the past 3 months or so ive noticed that ive been boosting about 20+psi...i thought it could of been a clogged cat,so i changed it out about a month ago and im still boosting that amount...also notice that my little surge tank that infront of the supercharger isnt bubbling any coolant and seems to be completly empty..is that a sign of a broke pump,and if yes,how much would one cost and how hard is the installation..my warranty expired so im outta luck..i found them for about 470 bux,but dont knw if thats the part.

 

put some more coolant in there. its probably just a little low.
low coolant, or no I/C pump wont increase your boost.

if its not a clogged cat....your boost issue could easily be just an inaccurate gauge.
i would try to find another way to measure it to make sure (borrow someone elses guage, interceptor etc)

 

so just unscrew it,and pour some coolant in there?also special coolant or can i use 50/50 water/coolant mixture

 

dexcool is what is in there.
if its just a matter of topping it up a little, you can just put a bit of water in for the time being.

if it doesnt top up with like a cup of water, then go get some coolant.
you can pick it up premixed, or buy it and mix it 50/50 yourself

 

danm dexcool is expensive..crap..its like 27 bux for that container

 

thats why i suggested water.
you might only need a tiny topup to get it up in your resevoir again.

If your still under warranty you can have the stealership top you off or have them check it out. If not, quit being a bitch and by some dexcool! Prestone makes a dexcool 50/50 mix that doesn't cost $27 by any means! I do like the pee idea though!

 

You can pick a new pump up on ebay for around 87 US. Do a search for Ford Lightning SVT Cobra Intercooler pump. They are the same as our cars. Do not order it from a chevy dealer as they are asking around 500 bucks. (******* rediculous) I phoned a ford dealer and the stock lightning cobra pump is around 149 US.
