Badmab or zzp mid combo?

I was thinking of getting rid of my cobalt so I sold some of my stuff. Header, wheels, coue small things. I was gonna sell my downpipe (zzp) and put all stock on aswell. But now I think Ima keep it longer then what I thought. So my question is, should I slap the bad mab to replace stock header, or just sell downpipe and get the zzp mid combo?
Does the zzp combo make more power then the bad mab setup? Sound better? Is it really worth it, or should just get badmab? Thanks

Did you ever look into the Vibrant header and downpipe kit?

Never did. Are they like $6-700.00?
The zzp cost like $370.00, so that's why I was gonna do that.

You can get a pacesetter header also for the cobalt, we carry them, if you want to go even less $

You have the downpipe for them? Or can I just have it welded to my zzp downpipe somehow?

They come just like to one for your cavy did... I am sure you can modify the ZZP downpipe you have to fit to it.

He has owned one before, from his cavy, and knows the install, he already ordered a Pacesetter header. He plans to modify it to fit his ZZP downpipe he already has.

I have a pacesetter on my Cavy (winter beater).

It's been on my car since 2004, and has never once given me a problem.

The only thing I hated about it was the make shift downpipe. Other than that, it has been great!

+1 on the ball joint setup, not a fan either.

I wouldn't hack up your ZZP downpipe man. That's just me though.

The only company I know of that makes a bolt in solution for the Pacesetter is Exhaust Depot

Glad to hear someone with it on their car finally chime in. I was thinking of either doing the ZZP dp and badmab combo that everyone does or the ZZP midlength. I really like the fit and finish on the ZZP product so I'm probably going to go with them in the end.

OTTP makes one. And it is very well priced.

Yes. With the hardware that is included in your pacesetter the box.

But as some people have stated, sometimes there is a problem with the seal between those ball flanges and sometimes they can leak. But not everyone has that problem.

The other thing to consider is the size of your cat-back. Is your ZZP DP designed to bolt up to a 2.5" or 3" cat-back? I am pretty sure the one from OTTP will only bolt up to a 2.5" cat-back.

Another thing, does it have any gaskets for this? Like the one where the header and downpipe meets?

Just stick with BAD MAB header with ZZP 3inches downpipe catted with 2.5 exit. But don't use BAD MAB or ZZP gaskets. They don't last that long. Get copper gasket for head to header and Remflex gasket from header to downpipe. If you're thinking it's 2.75 not 3inches gasket. Doesn't matter cause Remflex seals up the leak and you will never get any leak at all for a long time. Won't have to worry about it. Compare to Pacesetter n ZZP mid length header it will rust up from time to time. While BAD MAB and ZZP 3inches downpipes are stainless steel. Means that they will last you a very long time. It make your money worth it. They are dyno proven for many Cobalt owner who has it. It's your money you decide what you are paying for. Personally I would go with BAD MAB with ZZP 3inches catted downpipe with 2.5 exit stainless steel. That is what I would go for.
