Black ZZP Header?

I ordered the zzp header and downpipe and was surprised to see that the finish on the header is black. I asked them about it and they told me the just decide what finish they spray it with and never tell us b/c they don't see it as a big deal. My question is has anyone else received a black zzp header. I'm worried about it scratching and being more noticable than the metalic finish. Any comments? Should I have to pay for shipping If i want to exchange it?

I can't tell what type of paint they used but it wasn't done that well.

But the link to the redline forum doesn't work.

ZZP is one of the most respected vendors for the Grand Prix world, but almost seems as they dont give two ***** about the redlines/cobalts.

This is what color mine are. They still have the protective coating over them also. Ive had them on my car for over 1000 miles.

that is high temp paint it will smoke for 5 or so mins wont hurt anything...........
its help heat tranfer and **** and is better than the reg metal looking one.. the smoke is the bake in process that helps the pain bond into the metal pores.

We've used 3 different colors and haven't had anyone complain. Because the it is high temp paint it's best to cure the paint by running for 1 minute, then cooldown, then 10 minutes, then cool down before going ***** out.

If a particular color is requested, we can ship that color for no extra charge.
