Boost in 1st gear?

I have a 06 SS/SC...Am I supposed to not get any boost in first gear?! My PSI doesn't go over 0 when I romp it in first but every other gear I get boost. Not sure if I'm supposed to get it in 1st...

If you guys knew how to drive properly, you could hit full boost in first

if you dont have boost and ur not tuned then u got problems, i have my tuned to only give half boost in 1st gear so i can grab better traction

No the stock tune does not allow you to go out of vaccum in 1st

Yes it does. It's in the PCM, just look at any stock LSJ HPT file. The "Max Boost 1st Gear" table is 100% across the board..... Don't believe me? I'm sure someone can post a screen shot by the time I get home or I will

yes it was a joke.

anyone that knows anything about cobalts knows that the stock tune allows full boost in first. I left full boost for first in my tune cause I'll half throttle till I hit my mid range RPM's and when I step on it there, I have traction.

But yes, I was just joking and making fun of the people saying that 1st gear doesnt allow full boost

Somethings wrong, on a stock tune you should have full boost in every gear.

Try the boost bypass mod, if it fixes it, then the tune is limiting boost.

Search it on here for pics and instructions.

Basically, the bypass valve actuator, has two lines on it. One goes to the blower, one goes to a little black box on the valve cover. Remove that one, leave the end on the actuator open, and plug the end going to the black box. Try it like that, if boost goes up in 1st like every other gear, then something in the computer is limiting boost in 1st gear. Or have someone pull the tune via HPT and look at it.
