answer the guy already. I would highly recommend nothing over 18 lbs without upgrading heat exchanger, aftercooler or something of the sort to keep the temps down.

i was thinking about getting the intense stage 5 but i wasnt sure if the boost was safe for stock internals. i think its safe because if you are running 21 psi and nothing has blown up yet... ecotec is a strong engine from factory. i m thinking about getting a better head gasket though. and i just got a port and polished head.

I think we agreed that with a 2.7 pulley and the engine at 7K your just making it below the blowers redline. So anything lower than that, you will be going beyond the blowers redline. Although that is only if you take the car to 7K. I am sure no one drives the car to 7K on every shift. Least I hope not.

**** I"m running a 2.6 at 7400 rpm's, thougj I rarely run it up that high... hasn't blown up on me yet... by the way does anyone know if someone makes a high speed bearing conversion for the m62, like 18-20k kit...

Yeah I got my RL set to 7400 as well, although even if I am running it hard, I usually just shift at 7K. I pretty much did that just to make sure I would never bounce off the limiter. Or if I am at the track and want a better trap in 3rd.

Eaton says its ok to go over the RL of the blower once in awhile. Just do not run that small pulley on a road course where your constantly in that high rpm range. Least I think it was eaton that said that.

wow... i hope you dont have a problem when you rev that high cuz i would hate to see the supercharger let go. i havent heard anything about a higher rev bearing kit though. with a 2.5" pulley i wouldnt take it over 7k.
