I've read through about 5 different threads so far and have found similarities and differences in all of them.. Does anybody know if this will have any (positive) impact on a stock LSJ? i don't run hard like many, so the portion about engine longevity and everything isn't AS big a deal.. does this make a difference on actual boost levels, or is it just a way to keep the PCM from bleeding boost under the specific conditions?

It will only increase it if the pcm is trying to lower it already. On a stock tune it shouldn't, on a properly working car.

All you are doing is disconnecting the line from the boost control solenoid to the actuator on the blower, so it will only actuate based on manifold pressure and can't be held partially open under boost.
