Okay so here's the deal. I'm going to get tuned Monday, and I have to drive 4-5 hours to do it. I planned on hauling the car up there, but I'm unable to get a trailer.
I'll be installing my 2.9 MPS and stage 2 belt BEFORE I go up there so I won't have any down time once I'm there besides installing the injectors. That means I'll have to drive 4-5 hours without getting on the car and without going into boost as much as possible. No big deal.
Well, last night I got to thinking. I remembered back when I installed my mechanical boost gauge I took the vacuum hose off at the by-pass valve and the car wouldn't make any boost. It didn't throw any codes or didn't seem to change much of anything. So my question is:
Can I remove that same vacuum hose and drive the car that far safely?

I don't have a pulley puller, and the only arrangement I could make was to have the stock pulley pressed off and the new hub pressed on this weekend by a friend of mine and his shop press.
And my buddy that's going with me is getting tuned also. He's giving me his 42 lb injectors and going with 60's. But he's gotta drive with me. So I'm kinda in a crack.

put a vaccum cap on the bottom nipple on thebypass valve, u wont see more than 3psi bc the bypass butterfly will always be open, u can daily drive it fine like that, if you go WOt u'll just run really rich

Yeah that's what I was going to do. You can also just unplug the sensor that those vacuum lines run to and it'll do the same thing. Thanks man.
