boost went up

The past week I only had 1 psi of boost and now today it went up to 5. I'm going to replace the soleniod but would a bad soleniod cause the boost to come and go?

With a clogged cat u would be seeing high boost... is the car running slower or normal??? It could be your gauge... mine went out about a year ago and did the same thing...

My car was running slow when I only had 1 psi boost, but today I got bwck normal boost and runs great after installing zzp axles and changing transmission fluid
