CA Header... What to do?
I just recieved the Cobalt-Addiction shorty header and i sort of expected what i was going to get, there were rough welds on the insides, bumps and burrs at almost every seam
. So i have spent a good part of the day getting buying special dremel parts and dremmelling down some problem areas that may inhibit flow. Just in case i was checking for thin spots to possibly see if i effed up, and so i just happened to look at the header from the outside with a light shining on the inside.
To my astonishment i saw a little sliver of light shining through a weld in the header in the collector between all of the pipes.
Suprisingly this actually wasn't a spot i had dremmelled either. Now, i'm just sitting here wondering what i should do. Return it or somehow fix it. I don't even think its a hole, its basically a thin spot where you can see a tiny pinpoint of light, too small for a camera to catch. I don't know if CA would allow me to return the header in its dremmelled condition anyways, so i was wondering what would be a good way to patch the spot short of welding more material onto it?
I don't mind living with slightly inadequate headers, they only cost $200 bucks and are powder coated stainless. I'm just hoping this is a fixable problem, not a detrimental one (i dunno if it could create more failure of the weld).

On another note, what kind of exhaust gas temperatures are people experiencing with aftermarket gauges? I was wondering if J/B weld could plug the hole or if its just a futile attempt.
I don't have an exact # number for EGT but being a forced inducted car I would say it would be pretty high..
on a side note I did completly melt the internals of my magnaflow muffler with my side pipe setup so that should give you an idea

Hey guys this is a little off subject, but would this set up work:
CA Header [Which has the 2.25" stock size collector]
XTC Stainless Steel DownPipe [2.5"-3"]
Aren't those supposed to match up in size in order to fit? The collector being 2.25" and the DownPipe 2.25" as well? [I'm still one in training about all of this...]
I want Corsa sport exhaust as well...Not sure the specs on it.
