What type of cams you get would depend on your form of induction, your desired rpm range, your vehicles use conditions (street, weekend racer, full on race car), and lots of little characteristics of the engine.

Holy smokes.

No, Evo cams do not fit in the LSJ.

The 272 grinds that you see us install are 272 duration base circle regrinds from stock cams.

first of all is a 272 grind provide a decent driveable car still? how much hp gain could you expect from a 272 if you have lets say 2.7 with header back and a tune with some other smaller supporting mods

they are a bitch to tune. every car is different, so you have to build you're own file from the ground up to get them to idle right, coastdown, and other little things. i have had mine going for 2 months now with no issues.

you need to do springs, retainers and seat locators to run them. i did 274 on a stage 2 pulley with all bolts ons. 11.5 afr and 19 degree's of timing. this was before the lash adjusters came back to reality and did their job. now im on a 2.7 and the top end is insane

awesome, i just learned something new! haha i was gonna see if my EVO cams fit in my LSJ head just for the hell of it.

and the 272 IS an actual 272 duration grind, nice. doesnt it benefit a turbo application more tho?

i've never heard of a 272 grind except for on a turbo car i.e. my evo...

it's a much flatter curve with the cams. the car is not as violent to the tires. when 5k comes around, they hit hard
