Was surprising as hell, when we realized my "gas saver" tune actually made the cams idle perfect!!! hahaha, didnt have to call and bug Al about a idle tune at all....

well. went and played with some numbers in hpt last night. got it to lope a smidge. nothing major. no surge what so ever

witt. the tb scaler has nothing to do with cam lope. sounds the same on my car. keep in mind. mine is an 07. the normal rules do not apply.

So what kind of throttle body is swappable? I was thinking about an LS2 TB?

how much driveability is lost when going with one of these cams and losing the cam sensor? I've read something about starting the car up can be tricky on occasion.

Drivability isn't to bad....just the idle is the rough part to figure out, everything else is suprising very smooth.

I would not want to get rid of the cam sensor on my car........Only thing bad about getting rid of it is a long crank time while the PCM figures out where to put the fuel.

that's what I was talking about. If I buy a set of comp cams, I have to lose the cam sensor. So how much of a pest will my car be without it?

it will have no other affect on your car aside from an extended crank time......Sometimes it'll fire right up, sometimes 5 seconds, sometimes takes a couple tries......

Cam sensor doesn't affect drive ability at all. Just takes 2-5 seconds to start the car. There are some tricks you can do to make the car start on first crank, learned some things driving my car without the sensor for about 9 months.

What do the RPMs look like at idle? Are you constantly going up down up down up down?
