Cams

Anyone know if the intake cam is longer than the exhaust cam on the LSJ? I was told that is was, but im not sure if they are unequal, or equal length, and I need to know ASAP

i went gmp pp sport, if i had the money when i got it i would have gotten the corsa, but my family owns a dealership, so i really couldnt beat $400 for a catback....

Shut up about exhaust and use the damn search button!!! See this is the kinda **** that makes people leave websites. Back on topic. The LSJ cams are rare, because it has a cam position sensor. So the cams have a hex type thing in back. Both the intake and exhaust cams are identical (in physical size and shape). The L61 head (2.2L) Has a long intake cam, and the exhaust cam is about 5-6 inches shorter.

so they are equal length.... shitty, I guess cams are out of the question then, I just ordered GM blanks to have a custom grind done on......

Order a GM intake cam blank, and have your stock exhaust cam reground. Thats what I WAS gonna do, but they ground my cams backwards, so I had to send them my other stock cam.

The GM Blanks are for the L61 engine. I believe it says that right in the GMPP catalog. So yeah, those aren't going to do you any good on an LSJ.

no two regrinds are the same. as im finding out.

also, if you can't tune, or have no idea how to do it. cams are a bad idea.
