can gm tech's tell

Ok This Is The Question. I Want To Add Stage 2 to My Car. And I Know That Every Dealer In My Area Says That It Voids My Warranty. I Know People On Here Says It Dont But Thats What They Told Me So The Question Is If I Install The Gm Stage 2 Kit Can They Tell By Just Looking At It And Can They Tell That I Have Had My Car Tuned?

probably not, they can tell if its tuned or not by plugging into your ECU, as for the pulley itself its very hard to tell without a stock pulley for comparison, same goes for the belt/ injectors

OMG... yes they can tell, but IT DOES NOT VOID YOUR WARRANTY!!!!! go to the people that told you that, and punch them hard in the face. the only kit that voids your warranty is the stage 3. i dont even think they can tell that you have it tuned... i think they need more than a tech 2 to tell that. i could be wrong though.
hell, i have a non GM stage kit and i still have my warranty. what does that tell you?

the dealer shouldnt be able to tell that someone else tuned your car. i am not a computer expert, but i have talked to the people i bought my kit from and they say that you need more than a tech 2 to reveal that kind of stuff. GM uses the tech 2, nothing more. as long as you have their belt and pulley and stuff, i think youre gonna be fine. GM definitely covers the stage kits though.

why not just get GM to install it?

no, every state is not different. dealers dont just get to pick what they cover. GM decides what to cover, not Chevy.
so if im covered here in TX with a stage 2 kit, and im driving through alabama and i need service right away, im not gonna get it for free??? do you see how this doesnt make sense?
your dealer is stupid, find a new one.

The Reason Im Asking Is Because I Just Quit A Job And Went To Another And I Cashed Out My Leave Time And I Got 5 Grand To Spend. But I Dont Wanna Void My Warranty. Because God Only Knows How Much It Would Cost Out Of Pocket To Fix. And I Thought That Chevy Warranty Department Would Be The Same As Gm? Right?

here is the thing... chevy is GM's bitch. think of GM as God, and all the little GM dealerships(chevy, cadillac, saturn, etc.) are the planets in the universe. well, GM can destroy any one that it wants to, when it wants to. point being, if chevy is giving you issues, go to the daddy--->thats GM. ask them and you will get the answer that everyone here is telling you.
that dealer that you are going to will take care of installing the kit and they will cover it. all you have to do is have GM call them and put them in their place. i have said this many times, but i did it and i got a whole new motor out of it.

it is best to have the dealer install it so that you definitely wont have any issues down the road.

you are covered no matter what state your in. As long as it's GM parts installed by a GM dealer.
