Mine takes a good short drive to get up to temp. Maybe about 10 minutes actual driving time

you could do what he says, or you could re-route the top coolant tube directly into the supercharger inlet, this method will definitely get your car up to operating temp

lol, ecotoecs are designed to run most efficiently in the 180-188* range, they come with a 180* thermostat for a reason. What degree t-stat would you suggest? just curious

When it's cold out, mine still gets to 185* within a few minutes of driving.

Just curious, how many miles do you have OP?

That's odd. I don't know what would cause that. I'm on 92k, stock thermostat. No problems here.

If he's always had this issue and it's only in the winter time I doubt its getting stuck open. He can try what you suggested and replace with oem...if that doesn't work then he can try what I suggested and get one with a higher temp rating.
And fyi mine has always run around 195-205 since the day I bought it new.

If youve got an 05-06 and under 60k(100k miles for newer) miles just go to the dealer and get a new thermostat, thats for the group of you with the issue
