Does anyone know if there is any other way this procedure can be done other than at a GM Dealership? I do not want to install my Intense ECU and go in there because they are going to void my warranty when they see the mods.

 

I ran into the same issue. I don't know of any other way to do this than at the dealer unforuntately.

 

try another performance shop. there should be atleast one around with a tech 2.

 

can someone with an OBD2 scanner do the case relearn?

 

Haven't seen a scanner that does case relearn.

 

There seems to be quite a few shops in Canada that deals with GM performance cars . Maybe one I your area would have a tech2 . Worth a look see .

....and for whatever its worth . If you ever had a engine related problem and had to take the car to the dealer , they would find out anyways . They cannot legally void your entire warranty because of the PCM . Keep that in mind too . Your basically in the same spot if you do or dont have the dealer do the case learn .....so ya may as well just have them do it . JMO .

 

biggest problem with the dealer is they'll hassel you every time, and they'll charge $100.00CND to do it. min. 1hr labour.
