I have used electrical contact cleaner in the past. I just don't know about using brake cleaner on something so sensitive.

Huh what.... come on guy.
as for knowing... I do, been doing this for many years.... electrical cleaner or maf cleaned on a wired maf sensor., Brake cleaner and carb cleaner are to caustic and will cause eventual maf failure... but if it "works" for you, by all means do it.
