Clutch and flywheel. Any suggestions???
Depending on how many miles are on your car, more then 50k I would say change the flywheel at the same time, they are pretty cheap. The gm upgrade clutch kit is absolutely amazing and has no issues holding 350whp down to the ground. I have had my gm upgrade clutch for 62k miles now and it still feels new.
the kit comes with the inverted torx clutch pp bolts but you need to buy flywheel bolts separately, also I wouldn't replace your flywheel, there's money better spent in other places. I would just have it cut by whoever swaps your clutch out.
you can use the old ones, people have, I didn't and wouldn't, they're torque to yield and when I tightened mine to spec (which physically stretches them) that was tight and I would replace them next time too. they're $39.
I have about like 39k on it and I don't drive it much I have a company truck so but I bought my car used and not sure how good the flywheel is? I've had it since about 14k on it.
Ok so I'm installing my upgraded clutch from gm. The upgrade clutch kit and flywheel. I have everything ready but the pressure plate dials are to big on the plate is that normal. Will my clutch get chewed up? Will I get chatter? And if I proceed do I follow the same torque specs?
