I've replaced the clutch three times due to the CM fiasco. I believe the linkage or pin you speak of would be inside the car under the dash from your description. Under the fuse box is just the hydraulic line that runs from the resivour to the aluminum block on the trans, and then to the slave cylinder. There is a retaining clip in that, but no pin.
I guess it is different than what I had in my other car. My slave cylinder pushed my clutch lever with a pin, i guess you would call it a small rod though. I had the rod slip off the lever and it became very hard to push down the pedal and it would hardly work. So how does the ss/sc slave cylinder engauge the clutch, and is it possible for the same thing to happen?

ss/sc slave inside the bell housing
line goes into trans connects to slave

check for leakage

Mine blew at 30K and the clutch plate Springs were all broke i got a spec stage 3 works awesome now.

My clutch is at 34k miles and counting, still holding like a champ. Female driven from day one - only on rare occasions of drunkenness has a male driven my car...so there goes that theory...
