Sorry to hear to what happened. How exactly can you tell if a cobalt/redline has the G85 package?

im betting 100% its the axles

bob steele chevrolet (the dealership he went to is the ****). i took my gt28 swapped ss/tc with meth to get a new headlight (fogged up) and the service manager pulled me off to the side and told me to call him before i came in and we could work on a full powertrain warranty with all those mods! they knew me when i had my ls because i was always trying to get warranty work on rattles and stuff even though i had springs. when i got the ss all the service staff came out and looked at it haha

Nice, But Well if it was even both axels he would still be able to find each gear,Unless he somehow poped the SHifter cables off while snaping an axel, Sounds to me like a roll pin got snapped!

yea i doubt a roll pin would ever snap on a launch and the transmission is also unlikely since there isnt too much power nor slicks. if you stay in it while your hopping it just gets more violent until something breaks, 90% of the time its an axle.

Why are you telling him it is an axle if he cant engage any gears

the op needs to specify "engage" ...will it not go into gear at all, or if feels like it goes in but you let the clutch out and noting happens

If a loud clicking noise coming from the middle of the car he probably broke a tooth on a gear. It sounds like someone tapping on metal with a hammer. I would bet money on the transmission sadly.
