Hell yes the roll pin can snap on launch, It's WEAK! if he is able to put it into gear and it stay's it's the axel, If he has NO gear's at all it's either roll pin broke, he poped off a shifter cable and it's stuck in one gear but feel's like there are no gear's, Or it's the trans, Ive done the latter of the two! Broken a driver side axel at the track, And had a shifter cable pop off after Showing a honda crowd whats up! Good luck O P!

Video of the previous owner of my car pwning the axel, he then went back to the track and broke the transmission after the axel was replaced under warranty, in then he got the tranny fixed under warranty and sold the car to me with an already half way gone clutch :P

Yes okay let me try to explain this now that I'm not freaking out haha, I can push it into the gear slots 1-5 and reverse, it goes in, but when I release the clutch and give it gas it just revs up and stays in place, making that clicking sound I was talking about before

yup, get a flash light and turn your wheels all the way to the left and look in there, if it looks something like this

then you need new axle

If you can grab all gear's it's an Axel! you either snapped like above or really did it good like me! I granaded the outer CV! Like into fifty million part's and the tech crew was NOT happy!

Dual Axle break *IS* possible. Id at least check them first.

What you described sounds like it would break one axle. Wich axle would it break? The one with the most stress, and weaker one.....

Then what?
Your still reveing and all, now the remaning axle thanks to the LSD has ALL the load on it, so it's very possible it broke as a result of the other axle breaking.

But ya, check Axles first, then tranny or a clutch....
But Id put my money on an axle break

A friend of mine did that. He lucked out. Stuck one of those goofy telescopic magnetic pick up gizmos in there and the piece came out.

If he broke two it happened on the launch, How many times do all you "special" people have to be told that THE LSD IN THIS CAR CANNOT HANDLE ONLY HAVING ONE WORKING AXEL, LSD OR NOT ONCE YOU HAVE BLOWN ONE AXEL THE CAR WILL NOT MOVE AND THE LSD SPINS COMPLETELY FREE. IVE DONE IT! And Had ONLY the driver side replaced to fix the issue!

it's limited slip, not a spool gear...as soon as one axle breaks(more commonly the drivers side) then the limited slip acts more like and open dif and sends all the power to the side with the least resistance(broken side) therefore unable to move the car at all under its own power

Not YOU specifically, But when people who have been here FOR YEAR'S(me included look at my join date of 3+year's ago) state FROM EXPERIENCE that snapping one axel or outer CV(ON THIS CAR) will make the diff spin free i think it should be Listened to, Instead there are people Chiming in who have never broken **** at the drag strip including the 13 second barrier! i would wonder who to trust but hey make up your own mind! Just because Some LSD's can power one wheel if one piece is broken does not mean they all can, Not here to bash but DAMN!
If it's been said before and even posted vid's Why are people still gonna argue? Next you will say gravity dont work and the bucket of steam i ordered is on it way right?

What's even better is the diff in this car IS NOT FOR STRAIGHT LINES! it's for twisty's! I know as ive had the tires break loose and the diff help pull me straight!

To the O P any word from dealer yet?

i believe he is on 235/40 which really isnt that low...

people with wider and stickier tires, no mounts, and that dont let off when they start hopping = this.
