Yeah I'm on 235/40s they're pretty beefy for that size

and It's an axle and a hub that got broken

Incorrect. Although if you bend an axle, the car will still drive... just vibrate horribly.

Same thing happened to me. Left too high, dumped the clutch, terrible hop, pulled 2nd and nothing. We pushed my car down the track on a large floor jack. Rather embarrasing.

It was the trans, parts came out and everything. Luckily, I'm old, and my dealer replaced it for free. Car only had 5000 miles on it and was stone stock.

Oops, didn't notice it was just an axle for you.....
