I guess it's time for my disclaimer and that is I am not indicating any general shortfall in the mighty SS/SC, just my experience.
The LSJ was really not designed to have an aftermarket intake.

Given all the issues I have dealt with.... I agree. However there are many who run with no issues, mainly down south.

Okay out of this I gained that a MAF is expensive as f*ck and that if it sucks up enough water/sand it will be f*cked. Now my question is..The maf on my car is it screwed up and is there a way to test it?

Hey I've never noticed this before but when I take off my cold air intake from the throttlebody I can see puffs of dark smoke coming everytime the car cranks over. I know its coming from the line coming from the valve cover. Im thinking valve?

hmm, this is odd

Now I checked all of my springs and I didn't see retainers missing. And I didn't notice it under my car until i took my valve cover off.
