Thumbs up Coming soon...Flowmaster SS Exhaust System

I noticed flowmaster just released a system for the HHR. Emailed thier customer service to see if they had anything in development for the Cobalt. The rep wrote back to me, said they are working on a system, but no date set on when its available.... I for one am excited for this, flowmaster makes some quality stuff....

traditionally, flowmasters sound horrible on the ecotec cars. thats why none of us run a flowmaster muffler. Of course ill never complain of more aftermarket support

I would tend to think that putting a muffler vs putting a complete system made by a manufcaturer that tests and tunes thier product would hopefully yield a better sound. I've never met a flowmaster system that I didnt like.. plus, aftermarket support is never a bad thing..

well, the piping will all be the same regardless. at the end of the day, the only thing that will change sounds on a car with full exhaust versus a car with a custom exhaust and muffler/res is the muffler/resonator... given that all else is equal on the car
basically, what im trying to say...running a custom made catback with a flowmaster and running a flowmaster complete exhaust will sound identical. again, i hope im wrong, and i will never turn down aftermarket support, but im just sayin

In my experience, the smaller the motor, the less I want to run Flowmaster. While they sound great on big blocks and pretty good on small blocks, they don't sound too good on V6s and even worse on 4 cylinders. While this is true for most mufflers, it seems even worse for Flowmaster.
