Anyone with hp tuners can do it for free or you can go to the dealer in which case i have heard prices from 50-100. The code will appear if you switch pcm's as in most cases get an aftermarket tune sent to you on a different pcm and install that pcm. Find someone with an hp tuner though and they can do it for free if they want in less then 3 minutes.

not for the case relearn, all the scanning is always unlocked

Would you have to do the case and crank relearn if you switch pcm's? im doin my custom stage kit in the next 2 weeks and i have a Gm stage 3 pcm. how much and how long would it take a dealer to do?

Can you drive the car with this code, or more specifically, can you drive the car after swapping pcms to an OTTP pcm (or any tuned pcm)?

ok i drove with this code for about 4 days it ran fine just not much power. took it to the dealer. when they do it they have to hit the fuel cut aka the rev limter. then it reads it. then your off to go. theres a small process they have to do with the scanner though. i got it done for 54 buxs.
