I"ll make it very reasonable, don't worry about that. I have all the stock parts laying around, only thing stock I"ll be using is the crank, so you got dibs on whatever you need.

Damn, you missed Jeff's target.

Looking forward to building another, I assume I won't be in charge of rod bearings this time?

Damn, that sucks man. I didn't think you were pushing enough power to destroy the stock rods. Evidentally Blown 4-banger missed (or is ignoring) the spun bearing statement. He was texting me when he first saw this thread earlier today. I asked him if it was a spun bearing and he said it wasn't.

Blower = Blown ring land - $700 and some hours of work gets you back on the road
Turbo = Destroyed block and internals - Many thousands of dollars and hours and hours of work and labor until its back together
How many LSJ's do you know that have made over 300whp on the stock blower without blowing up??....maybe 1

How many turbo LSJ's will be able to destroy any SC LSJ????.....all of them.

Honestly.....go suck on a M62

well anyway, I'll be dynoing my car sunday at 22 psi. Stock motor, stock cams, springs, stock clutch. Was making 296whp before with the s/c, lets see what the turbo can do, and mine's not even as close to the size of the holsett

You're right, almost enough to build a second car.
I think what Dan/Paul really need is the new 27lb billet crankshaft

You both are basically changing everything. I decided to go with the custom crank because it was the only thing left to worry about. Now we know we can handle 50lb's of boost and I know you two like the sounds of that (for yourselves)

AlphaJaguar5 : You do know your a dueche bag and nobody likes you right. I swear your like this kid behind me in my class right now talking about how fast his camry is and how he's gonna put a turbo on it and beat everything. Your an idiot, your car is slow and keep your derogatory comments to yourself. If anyone needs a half assed blower porting we'll pm you otherwise stfu and leave people that are trying new and better things to better the community, like me and dan, the hell alone.
Are you guys hitting on eachother?

Its sucks when those laugh at those who cry.... Shitty luck man, that could have happened no matter what the setup...

His tensioner was bad, wasn't giving tension. Lots of slack in the timing chain. He was throwing a CEL for cam/crank correlation.

On the next built you should definitly get your head ported (especially on the exhaust side).

You guys totally fail my test. I wanted to see if you guys knew I was joking, obviously you didn't. You guys need to pay attention better!

Dan, sorry to hear about your motor, but **** happens as I'm sure you know. No sense in being all sad about it, I wasn't when I blew mine up and that was 7 months ago today. Either way it sucks, but its a machine, and machines break. I'm sure Dan will have this thing back together and it will be the badest redline ever.

Once again before you guys start being all bitchy and "flaming" (which flaming only works on people who care, so I'm immune), I was joking. I've always given Dan a hard time about his stuff. Lighten up people
