Second, I can not believe how many times that I have been asked if it is okay to scrimp on one part or another, needed to successfully build and engine.
It seems far too many people think they will just cut corners and fix it when it breaks because "how much damage could a shattered piston cause at 7,000 rpms, really?"
While I don't do my "tuning" I follow the "do it right the first time"
The sad part about some of the failures in the engines on here, is that no one can say for certain that it was "the weak point that broke", as opposed to improper/bad tuning.
"Turbos are easier on motors than blower. I bet the stock piston could handle more power on a turbo" Quoted from many turbo fan boys. LMAO!!!!! I knew it was gonna blow, I knew it wasn't gonna be a piston too. I didn't want to say it was gonna be a rod or something really bad, but look what a turbo got ya
Blower = Blown ring land - $700 and some hours of work gets you back on the road
Turbo = Destroyed block and internals - Many thousands of dollars and hours and hours of work and labor until its back together

No offense dude but this post just earned you J.O.D. Jackass Of the Day heres some ecotec history for you. the ECOTEC was turbocharged way before they ever decided to strap a blower to it.
BTW
I'm very aware of when you made that post thats still no excuse for you being an idiot. I've also learned by reading this entire thread that I'm not the only one who thinks your a complete idiot.
oh shnap!!!!....seriously though you did come off as a **** cake in that post...but anyways that was 3 months ago...back to dans build
