Darn GM Stage 2 tune
Darn GM Stage 2 tune
It is about 40 degrees here today. I went full throttle and looked down at my interceptor. At about 4500 rpm Knock Retard said 8.0. Almost pooped myself and let off the throttle. Looks like I will be investing in HP Tuners and learn to tune.
You can have someone send you a tune file slash buy one just as a heads up and then tweak it. The reason you are getting knock is not because of the stage 2 tune though, it's because you are using the wrong fuel and you need to change your spark plugs.
Always run 91-93 octane and run ngk bkr7e's or autolite 3922 gapped at .038 for your application.

I am running 93 octane and bkr7e's. It has been about 15K miles since I have checked the plugs. I will check them sometime this weekend if I can and go from there. 99% of the time I drive like a grandma, so it is not a huge issue, but still needs to be taken care of.
wickedss? the guy in ohio? were you tuned and moved or something? if you're getting knock that's not false knock which it sounds like is the case then you need to retard timing in the tune. when you say tweaked stage 2 tune that tells me timing may have been upped.
