My LSJ with mods below is probably 250-260 HP but it spanks they day lights out of those claiming north of 300 hp in the sand. It flat out pulls like a train once I hook up in 3rd. I'm just wondering if the flat torque curve or something about these engines makes them pull stronger than those with higher peak horsepower numbers. Does yours seem to out pull other higher HP cars? Does it have a longer power band or something?

 

Welcome to the world of the SS. Our cars do surprise a lot because they pull really well. The biggest contributor to our performance is the power to weight ratio. Cause our cars a lighter it's less weight for engine to push and adding power through modding only make the ratio better making for better pulling.
