e-brake trouble

e-brake trouble

Yup so day i go out to my car and the ebrake isnt working. There is no tention on the handle and i have no clue what the problem could be any ideas????? Any help would be awsome thanks.

take apart your center console and make sure the cable just didnt come undone. theres a cable that comes from the handle you pull and connects two other cables by a piece of metal that the ends clasp into. check that out first.

at the back of the e brake , under the rear cup holders if i recall right, there is a metal bracket that runs across. It splits it out from 1 line into 2 lines one that goes to each wheel, most likely one of the lines popped out, so you would need to pop it back in its hole and clamp the hole shut again.

I took the handle off, and one of the cables was disconnected. So I fixed that and the brake wouldn't disengage. So now I'm just going to take it to my mech.

One of the cables snapped on mine right there where the one cable splits into 2 under the rear cupholder. I took it to the dealer and they replaced it.
