Many people on the HPT forums and other places I have read are using the 14.4 to 'split the difference' of E10. I personally am running 14.4 stoich and I have my tune dialed in perfectly at cruising speeds using dynamic airflow till 3K. My trims seem to be much better using 14.4 over 14.7, however I never did a complete back to back comparison. It could simply be because I have spent more time tweaking the 14.4 settings.
Bump to answer E10 stoich questions...

It sounds like you still have some gas left in your tank and it has skewed significantly the amount of ethanol in the fuel, hence why it will not run. I'd try and get that fuel out, put in straight E85, adjust the stoich to E85 for an existing good tune of yours, then dial in your MAF/VE, etc...

I think your right.... I had my low fuel light on, but not on empty, but then added only 4 gallons of e85, and Im not sure if they switched to their fall blend. should I drive to the station and fill up? or run it until empty and have my cans ready?

Just fill it all the way. you should be fine after that. Then let us know how it runs.

well I tried multiple tunes, that I thought were good, but it seems to love my original gas tune so naturally I was stumped. Thought e85 required more injector volume yada yada. Then I gave it some gas, about 60% throttle it just revved up and didn't really go anywhere, kinda like you hit the rev limiter.. So I was thinking well, that right there is the e85! need more injectors on or around that throttle response, but my pe was set at like 35% and coincided with my stoich... Idk, I'll fill up and let you guys know, bringing my laptop with me in case it decides it wants to go 100% e85 on me with the gas tune. If you want to see the e85 .hpt file I would appreciate the look over.

old thread i know but i've just been doing alot of reading lately...

Area; question...
Why is it that you say you set your e85 stoich at 10.4 because that's a good avreage, but recommended AGAINST setting stoich at 14.4 to make up for the average between e10 and pure premium?
Not trying to ruffle any feathers here, just curious. I am planning on switching to e85 very soon and as far as i had read (until now) the stoich needed to be approx 9.7
Just getting all the info that i can. Thanks
