e85 timing question

e85 timing question

ok i was told by a friend that the lsjs dont make much if any power over 25 degrees of timing....im at 31 with no kr and a iat2 of 150. its 102 out here in california now thats y its so high. can any of u e85 guys shed some more light on this i also have zzp long tube header catless dp. zzp 3" catback. and a ported and polished m62.

Your friend is right.

A lot depends on how the timing table is shaped. If you can get to 25-26* of timing your golden. Anything more and you are just causing extra stress on the engine.

Where are you running that much timing?

wow thats high 27-28 is the highest i have seen on my table for timing while on e
who is tuning?

up top 26* is the maximum you should go. mid range you can run lots more. I'm not 100% sure what i'm running mid range but i believe it's in the 40* range.

im tuning my self...i have no idle isues...cold.start is getting beter everyday...almost normal...and im getting like 22 mpg

Yeah bro, I've tested all the timing I could but I lost top end tq along with some hp. The best I seen was between 25-27 depending on top end load ...

27 is the max timing that is usable up top. on e85. other fuels vary.

afr is fine at wot.
