Please show me your data proving they die between 100-125k without an oil change. They are designed and tested for 150k miles and pass with flying colors.. How much oil do you think they loose on a 150k mile test?

This site has way to many people that like to spout thier wrong opinions as facts and mislead the unknowing..

You guys are just adding more "windage" frictional losses into your supercharger. It definately wont stop you from making boost.. but it will overheat your oil and push it past the seals

DONT LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE TELLING YOU TO ADD MORE THAN THE AMOUNT I SPECIFIED. This is the exact reason i tell people to leave it alone, cause some people get it in their heads that "if some oil is good, more is better" If you add more, your only hurting yourself.

Let me ask this question, what happens if you put 15 Quarts of oil in your cobalt vs. the 6 that it was designed for?

DO NOT FILL UP TO THE HOLE (this leads to very bad things)

this type of misinformation is why i tell everyone to leave it alone!!!!!!

If you recovered 3oz, that is exactly correct, you did not loose any oil

Also to fill it to the proper level you need to remove the SC and lay it flat on the bench, then fill it to the bottom of the hole, this will be around 3oz, just FYI.

Well I guess that answers my question lol
So 3.4-4 if you just drained it and need to fill it again and 6oz if its completely dry(not a drop of oil in there, say from baking it in the oven for powdercoat or something)

Yes, actually I do. Considering they have probably gone through more blower oil swaps than eaton themselves and run them on their personal cars I think they know their stuff .

6oz is at a dry state, as in baked dry as mebtioned above, eaton taken apart dry etc, Im sorry if I came off as rude, but its like everyone wants to start a fight, when all Im trying to do is provide info, if wrong correct me with evidence, not curse at me...this is my 1st and last technical thread for this site.

lol like I said I pulled out 3 oz's with a pump.

and that would make sense if zzp is rebuilding them or painting they would remove every drop.

Well, I must say that is a pretty specific detail to leave out.. That's almost as bad as adding 9 quarts of oil to your motor.. Lol, not as bad.. But it is very harmful to the SC. I feel bad for anyone who actually added 6oz to their Eaton on account of ZZP's information.

don't think anyone is doubting how much is in there, we're just asking the question, is 6 possibly better than the 3 or whatever?

just saying "but someone said so" without knowing the reasoning behind it, is dumb.

it makes me wonder if both sprokets are getting lubed with just 3oz in them. since its at a angle? i guess since one sporket is, then other one well to. since they both touch each other it would have to.
