EATON-twin screw video
This sounds interesting. I still wish whipple would come out with a twin screw for us. Has anyone gotten their hands on the 1.3L kenne bell? I heard that they are only sold as a kit though and that its for Jeep, is this true?

Well, the 2.4 PR puts the rated pressure of these TVS units at approximately 20psi gauge. I will say that a twin screw wont last very long at 35psi, just like an old eaton unit wouldnt last long at 20+psi.. Just because you"can" do somthing doesnt mean its advisable.
Heat is the enemy of any supercharger unit, twin screw or roots.. and as you increase your pressure you increase your heat. Neither unit is exempt from these effects.
Lastly, when you start saying how much pressure a unit can put out, please state the isentropic efficiency at that pressure and thus it relates directly to the heat being generated. When you start getting down to low efficiency areas at high pressure, thats ALOT of heat being generated. (even high efficiency at high pressure generates a large amount of heat)
P.S. i wouldnt call it a twin screw.. just FYI (TVS = Roots)

Back to TVS and twinscrew....
im curious as to why magnuson was kept out of the loop on this, i spoke with dennis on friday and had no clue that eaton was developing/releasing such a blower in fact i think he thought i was kinda crazy or f.o.s. when i told him about this new design ...until i told him that he could see for himself on the eaton website
seems like magnuson would be the first to know seeing how these blowers seem to be geared for the aftermarket and magnuson being eatons only aftermarket distributor in north america and all
:
Hmm... interesting..
