I really don't know how many times it needs to be said, you can make more than 14.5 psi. seriously we need a faq about this.

You will also probably need to upgrade to a 3bar MAP sensor.

I don't think that will be needed. The car can run 16 lbs as it sits. If you go any higher than that with the stock SC your just basically blowing lots of hot air.

yes but there is a point where the effeciency level of the SC does not make more HP, I personally believe that mark will be 18 psi but for more than most people it is going to be 16. Where is Fenton MI at? I live just north of GR.

what you guys need to realize is that you have an eaton. You cant measure power by psi anymore really. An IC, cam, header, with a .8 smaller pulley than stock, and be running at the same psi as a fully stock GP. Its because they have an eaton type SC. PSI doesnt go up linearly like a turbo or centrifgual SC. As the car gets more efficient, the psi drops because the air isnt being "forced" in anymore, its flowing freely without restriction. 18 psi does NOT equal 18 psi across the board. You could be putting down more power with 10 psi if you have upgraded IC, cam, heads etc than if someone was running 18 psi on their stock car (obviously you dont want to do that because of kr).

Just something ive noticed on the boards.

As far as the PCM (its not ecu, you own an american car now ) Digital Horsepower is looking at making one if they can find someone in the Chicago area to let them test on their car. No sucess so far, but im sure someone will step up to the plate soon.

Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor

The MAP sensor reads the vacuum or pressure in the manifold. This sensor provides key information for all Electromotive speed density based fuel injection systems, and is also used with the HPV-3B vacuum advance and boost retard. The sensor is available in 3 varieties for normally aspirated or boosted engines.

1 bar MAP sensor (for normally aspirated engines)
2 bar MAP sensor (for forced induction to 14.5 boost)
3 bar MAP sensor (for forced induction to 29.0 boost)

theres more than 3 different ones. I know for a fact there are 2.5 bar map sensors. The ones in our cars are supposedly 2.25.

I took that from a site.

If we have 2.5 bar sensors then there is no reason to upgrade unless someone plans to turbo and boost 22+ psi.
