First off. NO!!!! DO NOT BUY!!!
The concept of an electric fan that could provid any of a horsepower increase is total BS. Here's a very good article explaining why they don't work:

Well if he is not serious, I am. I'm running into a clearence and PCM issue on my Mazda 6. Theres are some "real" electric super chargers out there. The one I'm looking at has a 20 hp motor (yes the altinator has to be upgraded) and will produce 60-80 hp and 40-60 twq. The ones that are linked here at the bottom rung ones. For the ones that really work they cost about $1400. The idea on electric super chargers should not be that strange, they do the same thing the SS's charger does, just that it does not run off the cam.

Are you sure the kit you are looking at has a 20hp electric motor ?
We have a 20hp electric motor at work, it is really heavy and on a hot day it dims the lights it uses up so much power. (not trying to start a fight, just curious)

yeah its 20 hp (big one) thats about 14,800 watts. As for the "F" up comment, do a little research there are being used in race cars . Don't make asanine comments when you don't know the full story, it makes you look stupid. I'm just replying to the original question and adding the information I have, yes the original link/equipments is like a hair dryer, but what I'm talking about is in a hole nother ballfield.

i would have to say that my internet ***** is probably much larger than yours when it comes to knowledge on "real" electric superchargers. i know just about every TKT model in and out. and he is one of only a couple reputable ESC manufacturers/designers... besides they have models around that will do on average 50-65~% increase, but that is also taxed by the wieght of the cells you need to power it. that's a calculation that the dyno doesn't add in... i know all of those simple things lol... so i'm not as asinine as you might think

so how many people would actually put a $2000+ ESC on a car? 1:50,000+.. maybe? i was reffering to the $100 or less budget models made from model airplane props and engines lol... if you do know much about them you will know that blades break off and can get sucked down into the intake, some of those catch screens even get ripped off in the process. thus my statement of esc on engine = very no (blades break off with the cheap ones.. sorry i wanted to be SPECIFIC)

my lesson learned: be specific on everything you post on a forum because people read into everything

your lesson: try not to read into things and ease up there buddy. it's not a life or death situation
