You must not have enough experience to know that there are different octanes at different parts of the country...
some only use 91, some only 93... Up north is normally 91..
The ethanol is fine...

A majority of gas stations add about 10% ethanol to their gas these days. I wouldn't worry about. That little amount of ethanol won't change anything.

most gas stations were using ethanol for a while now, my dad delivers gas to gas stations and he told me a bunch were getting away from the ethanol because the prices dropped enough. they only added ethanol because gas was getting too expensive.
shell and sunoco by me both have 93 oct. wawa and turkey hill normally have 91 i believe.

In NJ all octane levels have 10% ethanol in them,Shell has 93, Wawa has 92, and Sunoco has 93 but octane is octane. 13% is weird though, maybe a Canadian thing....GM doesnt recommending using fuel with more than 10% ethanol, but this is because its corrosive not due to octane ratings

i run E85 and it hasnt had any affect on my fuel system.
actually GM runs the non-return style evaporative style fuel system, so it might do more damage, i dunno. maven will know the answer to this.

1996 and newer cars are built to handle the corrosive affects of ethanol IIRC.
