Excessive Clutch Pedal Play
I bought an 06 SS/SC a few months ago with only 33,000km on it. I never really noticed up until i started driving it for a while the the clutch pedal has a couple inches of play in it before it starts to engage. I assume this isn't normal. The clutch works great. Doesn't slip or anything. Does the clutch just need to be bled or is something more major like a throw out bearing?

Soon enough kenny. With a non slipping clutch... Sooo i found that if i pump the clutch really fast all the play goes away. But once i start using it normally again the couple inches of play comes back. Just some air in the system i would assume?
bump for answer as this is my current problem too.... if pump the clutch it works normal after dd it has play in it again as if it losses its spring so to speak.
how would i bleed it?
dont know how i would have air in the lines? me and paul (dainslaif) where doing some pulls because he was tunning me and it just lost its spring in the pedal..... there was nothing leaking,no clutch slipping, and all gears goe in and drive fine
ps stock tranny 50k miles

There doesn't exactly have to by rhyme or reason for it. **** happens.
Having an air bubble in the lines will not effect how the tranny shifts. The clutch will not slip either, unless the clutch or flywheel are bad. Also, an air bubble wouldn't exist in leaking lines, because it would have....leaked out the lines.
Doing hard shifts during pulls could cause it. I can't explain how, but if you're rough on the clutch, it should go with out saying.
You wanted advice when you came in here, and it's been given. Not sure what else to tell you, unless you want us all to agree with you.

For clutch bleeding. Same thing as the brake lines.
Haha, sorry man. I thought you were the OP. It pisses me off when the OP asks for advice, then starts telling people who are giving him the advice, that they're wrong.
