exhaust problem/leak after ingall etd install?

hopefully this is a dumb/easy question. The other day i just installed my ingalls etd on my 07 ss/sc huge difference in performance but now it seems i have an exhaust problem. Ever since i installed the dampner, it almost feels like the exhaust is binding up. I'm getting a MUCH deeper tone, and it almost sounds like i have an exhaust leak. Here is a picture of the ingall install, if you guys could tell me if there is anything noticeably wrong...

Also i noticed on the back tip of my exhaust it does not appear to be sealed completely so im not sure if that is normal or not. Here's a picture of what im talking about.

If that is not normal, i guess i could always just throw some exhaust sealant tape around it.

As anyone noticed the exhaust problem im hearing after your install? thanks a ton in advance..

The sound your most likely hearing is the added vibrations traveling throughout the car.

Your best bet to see if you really DO have an exhaust leak, take the Ingalls back off.

The exhaust tip is normal

They just spot weld a couple of welds on there to hold the tip on & naturally it leaves the gap....it's perfectly NORMAL. I've seen 4 different stock mufflers/tips....they're ALL like that

how tight is the ingalls tightened? it's hard to tell from the angle but it looks like it may be overtightend. it shouldn't be any tighter than 10mm, and that looks like it's more in the pic.

I don't know (since it's not my car), but it looks like there's still a gap between the 2 large nuts (LOL) so it's not tightened down all the way

Looks like it's ~11-12mm from the pics

the ingalls did not cause an exhaust, leak, its just a coincidence if you have one

It will make the car sound different I was supprised by how much noise comes through the firewalll with the Ingalls, try a softer setting on the ingalls, I had mine on the stiffest setting and took it off becuase of the sound in my cabin. and then i put tranny mounts..they cleared up the sound in the cabin, but i feel like I am in one of those cheap motel vibrating beds when the car is cold, it vibrates the **** out of the car around 1000 rpm. probaly take those off and go back to my ingalls on a softwer setting... I also broke the flexpipe on my zzp downpipe without those on becuase the engine moves around so much in the engine bay without one of the two traction mods.. just my experience wuith my ingalls and tranny mounts

my tip looks like that...

my ingalls on my 07 made the same sound.. it's not an exhaust leak, as someone before me said, it's likely the deeper tone your hearing because of vibes.

The torque damper does increase noise and vibrations in the cabin, but it has absolutely no effect whatsoever on your exhaust. If you actually do have a problem with your exhaust, it has nothing to do with the torque damper.

But yeah the exhaust tip is welded correctly.....they ALL come that way from the factory

And yes it's louder inside the car/cabin from the Ingalls....I can vouch for that as well. Just put it on a week ago, but it's very livable and not that bad. Once you start driving you don't even notice it....it's just at startup & idling in neutral that you might notice it.

The positive gains of having the Ingalls (no wheel hop & better shifting) FAR outweigh the negatives (a FEW vibrations & a little noise)

Another thing to try.....reverse your nuts & bolts. Put the nuts on so that they're on the back of the brackets!!
