feel vibration after install Ingalls Stiffy
Just got some time to install the ingall stiffy. Had a little test drive with it. No wheel hop which is a ++. But I can hear and feel a lot more vibrations now. my question is: Does this happen because didn't set it right? or it is normal? I have it set at 12.5mm.
thanks for any commends...

so... the vibration was always there, but the stiffy transfers it to me, the driver, right? I just wanto rule out that it was caused by something I did.

I would make sure you have it installed right. I did not notice any vibrations after installing the ingalls. I noticed more vibrations after uninstalling it and installing the ottp stage 2 rotated tranny mounts, however the vibes are not bad at all.

Ingall's makes it to where your engine doesn't move around as much, well if it doesn't move around as much guess where those vibrations go? Yep, into the rest of your car, which includes the interior. The tighter you make the ingalls the more vibes you get. Set it low, mine is pretty low and very little wheel hop with almost no noticeable vibes.

on the stock setting it'll vibrate a bit more because it... um... stiffens the engine. lol. i only notice the added vibs really when it's cold and i'd just started the car (once the dampener warms up a bit, i don't even notice the vibs), and when i'm stopped, and even then i bearly notice them. the trade-off is worth it. shifts will be smoother and it'll help (but not eliminate) wheel hop. if you don't lke the vibs, you can always adjust it, but the softer it is, the more likely you'll experience wheel hop, and have less performance from the piece.

50% of what you said is true. Yes it causes vibs and yes they r less noticeable once the car warms up. However if you set it right u will have no wheel hop. I bought mine from my friend that set it right, i didnt adjust it at all and since i put it on i never once had wheel hop at all. Not meaning to be an ******* but i really hate it when people say false info when they dont have all the facts. Like i said, it all depends how you set it. I have all my power mods in my car and only the TD and thats it for mods to reduce wheel hop and it didnt just reduce it, it got rid of wheel hop 100%

Thanks for all the replies. The vibration seems to be unnoticeable when the car heat up a bit. It makes the sound a lot better, glad it's normal...cus I love it!!!
