How much will a tune do for me?

As the title goes...stock car. How much will it give me, how much $ and will it cause any problems?

I dont *think* there is a whole hell of alot to be had from a SS/SC tune without any other mods, but I could be wrong.

pretty sure some guy in so cal got like 15-20whp on a tune from steve as his only mod. and trifecta claims 17whp. they only cost $285
but get ottp stage 1 only 400 for about 40whp

usually can squeeze 10-15whp out of a tune. depends on mods and how good / agressive your tuner is

not enough to be worth it imo. i was talking with bryan and angelo when i was stock. and they both said they'ld be able to get 15-20whp out of it. but since i was going to be modding the car it would just be money out the window

see im skeptical to mod the car cause I dont want any problems. Its a daily driver and I really dont wanna deal with anything like that

then just get like a 3.0" and 42s an have it tuned. its like an extra $250 and it will make the tune worth it. and you won't have to worry about anything else

ok ya Im stock so that=me newb to engine lingo haha. Im gonna guess 3" =exhaust? and 42's umm injectors or pulley? hahahaha i dunno

look into comp cams as well hot rod mag did a write up and some dyno runs with some bolt-on part and the cams add 36 hp

lol Ill talk to the guy around here that does alot of work on Cobalts. I mean Id like to have some extra kick, I dont race or anything but just for fun but like I said just dont want **** to start breaking. Thanks for the info!
