Finally Installed K&N W/NO CEL!!

just lettin you guys know that i installed my K&N intkae that came in today (thanks to the amazingly fast shipment from 2005yellowSS)
the install was pretty straight forward, i just had a pain in the ass gettin the wiring harness off the Mass Air Flow sensor due to the small hand space (i have huge hands) but thats about it...the whole install took me about 30 minutes. nothin to complain about.
anyway i reconnected the negative terminal to the battery, and start my car. I immediately got a CEL, so i was like whatever i just wana hear this thing WIIIINEE...so i go out and really get on my car for about half hour straight...the whole time serisuly shitting myself because of the noticable power gains that the butt dyno feels, on top of it i cannot believe how loud the whine of the S/C is.

any way i go park my car, and turn it off...half hour later i came out and started her up again to move it, and the CEL is gone and hasnt beeen on since
im really happy, it looks awesome, fits GREAT, and sounds amazing.
the only shitty part is, i ran a damn nail over at like 6pm, so ive been riding on a spare
first thing tomorow im goin to get my tire patched, then ill see about making a video for you guys

I had a CEL on my Ingen, every time it comes on I would clear it with a code reader. One morning I got into my car and it was OFF by itself (first time it went off on its own) and so far it hasn't come back on yet (4 days)

You get a CEL if you pull off the battery cable since the PCM sets a memory reset code.

The P0171 CEL might or might not come on, depends on your fuel trim levels.

I have the K&N typhoon installed myself. Have had it on for 2 months and have only had 1 CEL light the whole time. The MAF sensor is probably where you are having problems if you get a CEL repeatedly. Check the O-Ring that seats the MAF and check to make sure all your hoses are connected properly. The Supercharger whine is addictive isn't it?
