actually next time it happens Ill take a video with my interceptor showing the code and the check engin light. It always happens when we are tuning and screwing with things
You are wrong as well. Misfire can be flashing or solid.

And I see a lot of people on here quoting knowledge they learned by reading other threads on the forums. IS IT TO HARD TO ASK THAT PEOPLE STOP TALKING UNLESS IT COMES FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE?! AND NOT SECOND-HAND OR OSMOSIS EXPERIENCE. YOUR MECHANIC BUDDY OR OTHER FRIEND DON'T COUNT!

I was thinking that you may have had valve float depending on the RPM you were at when the light came on.

Tuning is pretty easy. Read all of the explanations in HPT. And avoid all the VVT tables 99% of the time.

How would I be able to tell of float?

I plan on getting some dyno time once the weather isn't well...icy and cold

A flashing CEL as noted in our owners manual and every other cars owners manual is something you should turn the car off instantly and call a tow truck for... A flashing CEL means that driving your car further could result in massive damage. I dont know what is happening with yours but I know a flashing CEL means, shut down.

I had what sounds like the same problem and I got the P0300 code and the CEL (which turned solid later on that day) went away after a day or two and I took it into my local stealership and that's where they told me "it's probably bad fuel because the supercharger cannot run on premium fuel. It's only meant to run on regular gas." after which I laughed and walked out.
But anyway, the car's been fine since.

It probably wasn't float since the springs are good to 7150.
