I was looking through the search but i cant find anything about this... Does a lightweight flywheel gain any horse power or does it just provide better engine response?

 

better engine response.

it may free up some horse power thats already there. Or a better guess would be that it will lower the percentage taken away between flywheel hp and wheel hp.

 

thats what i figured

 

lighter flywheel is mainly for revving fast, getting the power down to the wheels faster. you will save some hp due to less rotatinging weight

i think your question has already been answered.

 

yeah, you won't get an actual number that it's going to free up because its just giving a smaller percentage drivetrain loss. Meaning that based on your mods and power level, the wheel horsepower gained (by the reduction in % drivetrain loss) because it is now freed up will vary from person to person.
